Shannon Gibbs, founder of Gentle Waters, is a proud DFW local with deep roots in the veterinary community. Growing up as the daughter of two veterinarians, she developed a lifelong respect and compassion for animals. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and her master’s degree in Poultry Science from Texas A&M University, Shannon carried forward her passion for animal care into her professional life.
The inspiration for Gentle Waters became deeply personal after the passing of her beloved senior pup, Millard, who lived a full 16 years, 8 of which were with Shannon after being rescued from the Burleson Animal Shelter in 2016. Experiencing firsthand the difficulty of saying goodbye to her cherished companion, Shannon created Gentle Waters to help others navigate this tender process with comfort, dignity, and peace of mind. Her mission is to ensure every family experiences as smooth and compassionate a farewell as possible.

Catherine Noah brings warmth, understanding, and dedication to her role at Gentle Waters. With a background in hospitality management and real estate, Catherine has always been drawn to serving others—but she found her true calling in pet afterlife care. Over the past two years, she has guided hundreds of families through one of life’s most tender moments, offering comfort, reassurance, and steady support when it’s needed most.
Raised by a Navy veteran, Catherine carries with her a deep sense of discipline, empathy, and commitment to community. An animal lover at heart, she has spent countless hours volunteering in animal shelters and human nursing homes, experiences that have shaped her natural ability to bring peace and compassion to those in her care.
At Gentle Waters, Catherine not only ensures that daily operations run smoothly, but also serves as a steady presence for grieving families. Her calm spirit, attention to detail, and genuine care make her an invaluable part of the Gentle Waters team and a trusted guide for pet parents saying goodbye to their beloved companions.
